Bat Mitzvah Music Video from Rewind Pictures on Vimeo.

Elizabeth was inspired by Robert Indiana's LOVE sculpture and the theme of "love in the arts" for her big day!
Rewind Pictures developed and produced a music video that incorporates two of Elizabeth's faves and ours too-music and film!
This music video concept is a great way to incorporate your bar/bat mitzvah boy or girl's theme, personality and music tastes!

one event space, two amazing looks...

We found these two fantastic receptions featured on the website of THE MARK FOR EVENTS, an event space in Los Angeles. I love how different the same room looks for the Bar and Bat Mitzvah. Great looking parties!

Another stylish boy's invitation....

Another stylish invitation from Poppyflower Press. Love the metallic bronze folders and the matching bronze ink!

A nice simple boy's invitation, classic, but freshened-up by the bold color choice, which nicely forshadowed the blacklight reception theme. From Poppyflower Press.

A wonderful Mitzvah act....Kippot for Hope.

Kippot for Hope supports the small community (approximately 1000 Jews in three villages) of Jews in Uganda. 100% of all profits goes directly back to support these struggling communities in health, education, and agricultural projects. They converted to Judaism around 1900 because their tribal leader decided he didnt like the New Testament, and are devoutly observant. They support themselves by farming, hunting and making Kippot. Ordering special occasion Kippot for your family and friends from these great artisans in Uganda is a good deed in itself, and these kippot are beautiful! Visit kippotforhope.org to order, and to read more of the fascinating story of the Jews of Uganda!

Torah Talk

FROM CALVIN:

Torah Talk with the 5th Grade

In the Jewish tradition, we read from the Torah every week. With each new portion we get the privilege to gain new insights and lessons from the stories that the Torah gives us.

One is never too old/young to study Torah and in the 5th grade at Temple Israel of Hollywood there is a unique opportunity that allows our students to not only study the stories from Torah but also comment on them. These essays can help your kids understand their Torah Portion in contemporary terms.

Please enjoy our 5th graders' insight as they provide us with their D'vrei Torah.
