Elianna and Lauren's Bat MItzvah Invitation

Charlotte Garnell is a longtime friend of my family, and we are so pleased to be able to work with Charlotte, an Emmy-winning set decorator, in designing all the aspects of her daughter's B'not Mitzvah. Her daughters are very interested in graphics and the letterpress process( they even came to the studio to see the press in action!), and its lovely knowing that they feel part of the design, and have an invitation that represents their style.
We all agreed that the invitation should represent the beauty and solemnity of the service, and the festive theme of party thats to follow will be a surprise for the guests. We are now working on all those little surprise elements, which of course we will share after the event, and Charlotte will share her experiences and insights after living through this DOUBLE Mitzvah!

Charlotte's comment after receiving the invitation was really gratifying!

Wow!! I cannot tell you how we loved the final invitations. Katie had one stamped and waiting for me and the girls to view. Even Grandma got to see and feel the incredible paper. THe texture of the hand printing was so unique to us in the evite age. This is something to be cherished by the hostess and the guests. When you open this invite you know something special is being planned. I have always said the invitation sets the tone for the celebration. I feel that opening the invitation is a celebration in itself. It just feels so good and wow what a treat for the eyes. Katie you are a talented artisan. Be proud. I am for sending out such an outstanding and lovely invitations that will be cherished by all.

  1. It's 5 weeks to the B'not Mitzvah of Elianna and Lauren Scheide and we are getting our response cards daily! Feeling the handmade paper when we open the cards is part of delight of reading the joyous responses from out guests! The design comes to life again on the response card and the hand written guest responses will be kept as keepsakes long after the excitement of the B'not Mitzvah has past. Katie Segal our Invitation designer working is now on Phase 2. The big party surprises!
